Answers to Prayers

A couple of weeks ago I lost my car keys. I had looked everywhere I could think of. My pockets, the diaper bag, my study bag, on top of the washing machine, the cupboards and drawers. Anywhere I might put keys and not remember. I also checked all around the floor, in the toy baskets, anywhere I thought Lily might of put them. I had had them in the past day or two. They couldn’t be far.

I called W and he hadn’t seen them. I was starting to get panicked. I needed those keys and they were no where to be found.

Deep breath. Time to hit my knees. So I knelt down in the family room and said a prayer that I could find my keys. I opened my eyes and my eyes went 1. To the book bag in front of me and 2. to the trash can (see, I have this toddler who….) I had checked the book bag at least twice already. But really didn’t want to search the trash can. So reached in the bag and there were my keys! Tucked next to a book. I don’t know how I had overlooked them. But there they were. An answer to a prayer.
